Vivacious and talented. Compas-sionate and smart. Dedicated and driven. Those are a few of the phrases that have been used to describe Veronica Woldt from her business associates, co-workers and friends as her career has progressed from a dynamic sales and marketing professional to an eldercare strategist and entrepreneur.

"From my days as an undergrad at U. W. Eau Claire to my previous employers; from my fellow members on committees such as as the Milwaukee Aging Consortium to my thesis professor-advisor at Mt. Mary College, I have enjoyed tremendous support and encouragement and also made lifelong friends," she says.

Veronica was born in Green Bay, Wis. She and her sister, Monica, were raised by her German-born mother, Erna, and Orville, her father. Her parents met in Germany during the late '50s when Orville was in the Army.

(Below) Veronica's thesis topic, "An Exploratory Study of Corporate Employees with Eldercare Challenges," awarded in December '08, was both a triumph of her extensive education in the eldercare knowledge field and a foundation for her business, Corporate Eldercare Solutions, LLC.

"They always encouraged education, thrift and self-sufficiency, for which my sister and I are very grateful," Veronica says.

Monica Woldt, who resides in Washington D.C., is a world-traveling, public health nutrition specialist who also is "a fabulous and resourceful cook," Veronica exclaims. "I am very proud of her!"

Wherever Veronica has worked, it seems that the job prepared her for what she is doing now. "Everything has led me to Corporate Eldercare Solutions," she emphasizes. "I am focused on enhancing companies' overall productivity by analyzing the needs of employees in terms of eldercare demands."

She continues, "I graduated from U. W. Eau Claire with a degree in broadcast journalism and that led to senior sales and marketing positions in broadcasting, dentistry and public relations."

"I was always in the unique position of knowing my employers' goals and understanding my customers needs. I couldn't be effective or successful without keeping both parties' concerns in mind."

In addition to her employment career, her Master's education and her business development, Veronica always has been an active committee member and continues to volunteer her time with many organizations.

The organizations include Metro Milwaukee Society for Human Resource Management; Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce; Wellness Councils of America and the Milwaukee Aging Consortium.

While she enjoys all of them, one group was pivotal in terms of her future:

"Becoming a member of the 'Pets Helping People' therapy team in 2001 helped lead me to what I am doing now," she says.

Veronica and her dog, registered name "Outlaws I Love Lucy", or Lucy, began to volunteer in eldercare facilities, hospitals and schools. "At the time, I had worked with people of all ages. As Lucy and I began to work more with older individuals, I realized that the aging population was delightful and fascinating to me; I enjoyed interacting with them. It's as though the career was calling to me."

She enrolled at Mt. Mary College in 2003. While Veronica was completing the coursework, she was employed by a nationally franchised senior care in-home service provider. At her Milwaukee area Home Instead Senior Care, she increased 2003 fiscal sales by 94%, with consistent annual double-digit growth to follow. In 2004 Veronica was presented with a State of Wisconsin Citation by the Senate as the city of Greenfield Employee of the Year.

Now, after extensive senior related work experience as well as intense study, she is a recognized expert in the aging field--and Veronica has become a speaker and presenter about aging issues as well as a knowledgeable media spokesperson.

"I've appeared on all the local stations as an aging advisor, which has especially helped me develop Corporate Eldercare Solutions' seminars to help address employees' age-related caregiving issues in a relaxed format."

Corporate Eldercare Solutions offers a spectrum of needs identification and eldercare problem-solving solutions for businesses. "I am the front door to answers for businesses as they address the senior caregiving issues of their employees," says Veronica.

"My job is to help companies realize the costs related to their unaddressed employee eldercare challenges and then provide them with the solutions to enhance productivity and relieve employee stress and its related health issues."
